Idle is good. revs up good. It lags which is to be expected then at 5000 you simply BLAST OFF. 30 psi. Get 20 @ 4200. Whats cool is at 20 with this turbo, its WAY faster than 20 on the stock turbo. Never been in anything this fast in my life. unbelieveable actually....only problem is when you lift your foot and go back to idle, it hunts AFR for 2-3 seconds then recovers and idles fine. i added 20 degrees of timing at idle and no more stalling. I am thinking that the AEM would be a better choice for my setup than the UTEC. What do you think?? RRR

Have you tried throwing on the stock airbox in order to stop the AFR hunting?

The AEM would open up a ton of power for you. Plus, make it more driveable(depending on your tuner)

Here is my dyno charts after Shiv got done tuning it yesterday. My race gas numbers are a little low due to using too weak of spring in the wastegate. I could only get 25-26psi tops. Also, the bump in the race gas chart is not actually there. They printed out a earlier run. In the A/F chart you can see the shape. All in all, it it 100% better then when I brought it in as. I made 275hp initially and Shiv actually got my pump gas number up to 370hp . Shiv and I both agree'd to lower it down to around 350whp for additional safety.

I forgot to add that I did install a resonated cat delete pipe and I am much happier w/ the sound and performance. It is only slightly louder then the HF cat.

Just for information purposes, our complete GT3076 ball bearing turbo kit with the external gate and complete ready to put on your car is $3300. It is actually bolted together as a complete unit when you get it, so it is a matter of taking off the old and putting in the new.

Dave, am I correct in assuming your GT3076 BB is the BR500BB turbo?

Geez David, Jumping on here and hijacking my thread . Your kit does seem like it is reasonably priced though. Can't wait to see the results. But the big question is: Will you allow XEDE users to order stiffer wastegate springs on your kit?

And thanks for the compliment. The dyno wasn't real ego friendly, but i gained around 70whp over cars w/ cams on pump gas and thats what really matters.

Sorry, wasn't highjacking, on page 1 or 2 someone made the statement about the kits being high priced, I was just giving a comparison.

Actually our turbo kits with the internal gate use a 14 psi spring. The external wastegate kits you can order any spring you want for no extra charge.

There are a few different turbos we can use on the BB500 kit, the GT3076 is the largest GT30 made we use that one on most. For quicker spooling though we can drop down.

AEM is the best but is ONLY as good as the tuner. Not having a MAF aids in spoolup and so on.

Both statements are incorrect, IMHO.
