I'll go through all the hoses tonight and make sure. Forced Perfomance sells both the single and double flapper. The single is the newest design they are using on the MR. Thanks for the pointers.

Used fighter garage's leak tester and found that my lower IC hose was leaking. Running great now. Glad it was something so simple. Thanks for the helpful tips.

04 0-60mph was 5.1 sec (9.8) Car and Driver
05 0-60mph was 4.8 sec (10.5) Car and Driver
Of course we can't say this was due to larger hotside, but it probably was.
No, it probably wasn't. You're not going to make 3 tenths in a 0-60 with a 10.5 hotside. That was probably a tiny bit because of the hotside, and a lot because of the driver/conditions/air temp etc etc.

Cars and mostly drivers are not consistant.

In the vendor section Speed Element has them on special for $249, check them out.

Thanks a lot SuperHatch for this write-up! I did this install yesterday and your guide was right on.

I do have a note for anyone like me who kept the stock O2 housing...actually, this could work for either:

You can leave the 02 sensor in the 02 housing and still remove the lower heat shield. Just cut a small slit in the head shield while you are under the car and that will allow you to remove the shield through the top of the car and not have to mess with the sensor in a crappy location.
