Sure, I guess. I just feel it out.

Not everything you do on your car can be defined with exact numbers and a gauranteed way it will work. Just do it and you'll be fine.

B/C I've had a lot of questions on the parts required to do this...

Exhaust manifold gasket: MR323654
Exhaust manifold washers: MD050076 x2, MD041192 x7
Exhaust manifold nuts: MR224500 x2, MR212302 x7
Turbine housing gasket: MR404547
Exhaust manifold-turbine housing bolt: MN119783 x2
Exhaust manifold-turbine housing washer: MD132933 x9*
Exhaust manifold-turbine housing nut: MD132930 x2
Exhaust manifold-turbine housing stud: MN119784 x2

Turbine housing-O2 housing gasket: MR299686
Turbine housing-O2 housing stud: MR224441 x2
Turbine housing-O2 housing bolt: MD062961 x3
Turbine housing-02 housing nut: MD050073 x2

The stuff in Red is what I recommend, the stuff in black is not needed but wouldn't hurt.

The parts can be purchased at your local dealership or at www.mitsubishiparts.net

those bolts and studs are f@cking expensive

5 bolts, 4 nuts 4 studs = almost 70dollors!!

there is no way iam payin' that!!

Dim-nuts-r expensive up there I spent about $20 at a bolt store, I didn't go back with the studs on the hot-side instead used bolts like some of the others in fact I got those from Auto-Zone in the bolt section by manifold bolts because the bolt store was out. Used hi-temp anti-seize on everything.

That seems right, I just took one of the old one's with me to match it up. They had a key set to match the size. I know I have two spare, but threw away the box. That sounds like the right size from what I remember m10 X 35mm 1.25mm pitch.

[QUOTE=SuperHatch]This is what it looks like with the turbine housing out, the turbo is held securely in place by the coolant and oil hardlines...

You'll need to attach the O2 housing to the Turbine housing before putting it in the car. You will need to use NEW STUDS where they were on the original hotside. The hotsides do not come with them and even if you are able to get them out of your stock hotside, chances are the threads will be destroyed. So do yourself a favor, order them ahead of time and have new ones ready.

Installation is reverse of disassembly. Total install time... 4 hours for me. Hope this gives some of you DIYer's some confidence to tackle this. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the write on we got it done last night in under 4hrs !
D@mn it pulls so much better than the 9.8 hs .
One thing i didnt see in your write up , but I think will help getting the manifold back on is -- Dont put the studs (upper studs that go from the mani to hs) back in the new hotside untill you get the turbo back on and the mani back on , much ezer/more room to get on that way (we had a hard time getting the mani off) . I cant take credit for this it was my pops idea

That actually what I did when I put it back together, but I forgot to put it in there.... Thanks for the tip though!

Glad it worked out for you... that hotside is a great upgrade.

I ordered my single flapper from Gruppe-s yesterday and it should arrive tomorrow. Should i assume it comes with or without the studs? I plan on reusing my gaskets and i currently have a DNP O2 housing on the car so i hope this will eliminate the problems with the 02 sensor removal. The only thing im worried about it whether or not i will be able to reuse all the bolts. Has anyone reused them all?

The part numbers for every part you need are listed in this thread, go to www.mitsubishipart.net for them. You might be able to get equivalents at Home Depot, but I wouldn't (material type/quality reasons)

There's not much else we (the forum members) can do for you (or anyone else who asks this same questions 100s of times) Besides buying the stuff for you and mailing it to you, which surely won't happen. Do some of the legwork yourself, your brain might enjoy the exercise....

newbie question...
so the diameter of the 9.8 is 3.53cm and the diameter of the 10.5 is 3.65cm -- in other words the outlet is just bored out and additional .12cm (.3")-- right?
