OK, I've been searching and am getting frustrated here. I see the torque specs for everything on the first page edit of this post, but what about the torque pattern for the bolts? Especially for the manifold? I know there are a lot of people who have done this installation the right way and know where this info can be found. Please help! I plan to do this installation within the next week. Thanks guys!

The manifold is the only thing that I would even consider using a pattern for. Just do it like the cam caps. Start in the middle and work your way to the ends in a circular pattern.

hmm...well I thought there would be. Thanks for the heads up. I just thought there would be since the top and lower bolts have different torque specs. But whatever. If people are just starting at the center and working outward top to bottom with the right torque values then that's what I'll do too. Thanks!

i always work up, ie the studs that are 22. i'd start at the center and work out doing 12 ftlbs, then snug them with 18 or so, then final them at the real tq.

Just a habit, kinda do 50%, then 90%, then 100.

Yeah thats cool. Thats what I do with my lugnuts only this is a bit more sensitive since a seal is involved. But it seems everyone who has done this themselves did this pattern. I am sending my housing to Buschur this week I hope and when it gets back I'm ripping into the car and following this thread (+pulling the radiator). So wish me luck and thanks all for the help!

Does anyone have pics of how they switched from studs to bolts between the mani and turbine housing? I've read a lot of people have done this but haven't seen any pics. I'm just curious to see what it looks like and to see what you guys used. Also to see if you used any lock washers or anything like that and if you have the nuts on top of the mani. Just stuff like that. My 10.5 is on its way to Buschur now and when it gets back I want to be 100% ready to tear into my car. Thanks again!

i dont have pics, but there's nothing special to it, just 2 bolts in the front instead of nuts, same as the rear bolts. my hotside did not come with the studs, it's threaded so no need for nuts. sometime people try to back those studs out and end up with stripped threads or snapped studs, so they drill it out to use bolts and nuts. you may want to ask buschur to back those studs out for you, and buy the 2 bolts.
