Check your suspension. Something might have gotten loose. Also this problem has been occuring on alot of the Evo ever since. It is the top mount of the coil springs perches. When take a turn, alot of times the spring is moving and reseating itself and that is where you get that clunk. Other buy the Cusco pillow ball mount and the noise goes away.

I got the Flex also. How long have you had the Flex?

I had the same problem; it started out when I took off pretty fast and then progressed to making the clunk when turning.

Mitsu retorqued all of the bolts etc on the front end and it went away.

Okay on the Tein. Check the big nut on top of the coilovers. Alot of times from the factory, they are not that tight. When I first installed mine, it looked tight but when I installed them, they were "clunking" like crazy. Sorry for the big picture. Here is a picture of what I am speaking of:

Then check the springs on how they sit on the rings. they could have shifted or gotten loose.

yeah im going to go through the susp. tomorrow, i am on the stock clutch. i am mainly worried that it could be the front diff. but i honestly have no idea. what worries me is that if i am stopped and i give the car some gas and let out the clutch as im pulling forward the clutch chatters a little because it is worn and the car makes a clunk noise everytime it chatters. but if i am driving and cut the wheel either way it will clunk. if it was the front diff would it clunk if i was cutting the wheel while driving?

I think I had the same problem it seems like it comes and goes. I get it from a dead stop if I turn the wheel sharply left or right. It sounds like a clicking or rubbing sound. I have been back to the dealer twice but it alway goes away before they can diagnos and fix it. I also seem to get the problem after my car is sitting for a week or so then it goes away 100 miles later?
