My mechanic took a simple razor blade and cut the dam (its rubber). He cut it where the picture shows and also on the opposite side. So "front side" of wheel and "back side" of wheel.

Put my hand up there under the strut and cleared out some gravel which solved the issue. Thanks!

Looks like mine is doing it again. It would make sense with all of the gravel on the roads right now from the recent snow storm(s). Maybe I'll just get some adjustable coil overs...
