Did u get the Free Maintenance stuff from Mitsu? If so.. go by that...
Unless you are going to mod the car then, go with what people have done here. My plugs look fine and I'm over 10K miles. I just got Dynoflashed and had my turboback, intake and Forge bov on for abit before getting tuned. The stock plugs are pretty good, believe it or not and putting more expensive plugs won't really make too much of a difference... unless you push alot more power with one step colder plugs. Check out the plugs on your car and if they look good, just make sure they are gapped right and you should be good for a bit longer.

If the car runs fine, dont touch them. My stock plugs at 19,000 miles looked new. If you do plan to change them go with the ngk bpr7es or the 8es( 1 step colder).

The service interval on OEM plugs is 60,000 miles according to Mitsubishi. If you go that long, I would recommend taking them out once or twice just to see how they look. It will also help prevent them from seizing in the head after an extended time.
