Anyone knows how to adjust the engagement point a bit lower on the clutch? Got 34k miles on it....and i want to try to make it last a bit more.

The adjustment is under the dash, but it won't help clutch life. All it does is adjust the freeplay at the pedal.

ACTman: there is still 'bite' left on the clutch, just trying to make it last a bit more.

I dont think it would be that bad. The problem would be that it would have to stay at my house untill you got the flywheel resurfaced. I dont know if we could drop it and get the shop to do the flywheel in the same day.

There is nothing you can do outside of taking it apart to make any difference at all. The only way to get it to last longer is to take it apart and grind down the pressure plate rivets which act as stops once the disc gets thin. Usually there is a lot more material left on the disc, but the pressure plate bottoms out on the rivets. By adjusting the engagement point, it may feel like the clutch is able to grab more, but in fact all it does it make it grab earlier by adding freeplay. Less freeplay or more freeplay is still freeplay. There is no load on the system.

Warning: the following is a shameless plug!
Of course if you are going to the trouble of taking it apart, you might as well just replace the stock clutch with a good quality ACT product (end shameless plug).
