^^^^^If he can change the clutch without doing the the fluid he must have a magic wand in his tool box. For another thing I would not use a mechanic that didnt insist on changing fluids during the install. Thats pure stupidity.

When the Clutch gets changed, the transmission and transfer case are dropped and both need to be drained iirc or oil will be all over the place. There are 2 fill holes and they're not easy to get at..

Your mechanic is an idiot if he drained the fluids thinking they were the same and mixed them, then returned them. The TC requires a hypoid gear oil - the Mitsubishi Diaqueen gear oil recommended in your owners manual - and the tranny gets a GL 4 transmission oil.

Once drained, discard them.

If he mixed them, or put something else in, then your syncros and front dif could be toast. It's not a happy mistake.

Who is this mechanic and what city is he in? How did you find him?

If he knows what he's doing, about 1/2 hour.

i just got my car back and everything is back to normal. The problem was the shift lever. He adjusted it and everything went back to normal. I also got the tranny and trasfercase oil replaced. Thanks to all that helped. One thing was i notice is with the ACT CLUTCH at low RPM's it kinda lag but the upper rpm's its okay. Is this because of the stock flywheel?

He adjusted the shifter ? The Evo has no shifter adjustment point. If you ask me he used the old trick us techs sometimes use, he probably realized that he forgot to refill the tranny or t-case and was too embarassed to tell you

Well i called WORKS earlier today and asked for help and they said since i couldnt throw it in my gears all the way....it could be the shift linkage..so i told my mechanic and looked at it and when i was shiftin it was hitting something that prevent it to go all the way in gear...So he adjusted it somehow until it stopped hitting the thing that prevented it to go all the way in gear...after that it went all the way in so i dunno as long as it works now its good to me...

Maybe he bled the slave cylinder? Air bubbles in the line?
