Anyone have a Gruppe M Airbox?
Anyone have a Gruppe M Airbox?
Was wondering if anyone has imported and installed a Gruppe M airbox on their Evo and if so, does it make a noticeable difference or is it just for looks?

I've never heard of them making a air intake for the Evo though.
Here's their English website: http://www.gruppem.co.jp/en/home.html

All it does is provide a secondary air intake to the top of the factory filter box. you might get like .125 whp on a cold day if you're lucky.
It's for looks...and it looks nice...but NOT worth $800.

they make beautiful stuff, usually with a choice of kevlar, or carbon fibre construction. they are somewhat popular on e46 M3s but the add 8hp at most on that car, and only at the top of the powerband. doubt they do much better on the evo, but who knows?
yep -very exclusive stuff - sort of like Tubi is for Ferrari/Lambo, or what ARC is to the Japanese scene. I have one of their intakes on my 350Z - sweet piece and always a crowd pleaser
