Limits of evo8 pistons

I've been doing research, and couldn't find any solid answers by searching..
Basically, I'm looking for budget alternatives to building up the 6 bolt 4g63 in my DSM. I have 2g pistons on 1G rods right now, but I was curious as to how much stronger (if any) the evo8 pistons are than the 2g dsm pistons.
What are evo8 people putting down as far as Safe whp on stock internals?

I really think the items supporting the pistons are the strong components.

The cams, valves, lifters, etc.

I would say 500whp is about the limit that I would push them. Keep in mind this is without accident of knock comming into play at any time. At that level of HP when knock occurs it will cause damage quickly on the stock pistons and it isn't somthing that I would run every day.

I would think they would be better but I would just call Buschur or AMS and ask their opinion. They would know first hand a for sure answer to what would be best for you.

500 whp would be pushing it, say without alchol injection of sort.

AMS went a little over 500 without alky injection or anything else. The thing I would worry about is the rods not the pistons

Why dont you get aftermarket 2G pistons? They are made by several companies and are very strong. I dont see why you'd even consider evo slugs. If you need to take the motor apart to change the bottom end, buy some aftermarket forged pistons.
