3 S.M.A.R.T. ways to make more power with more safely
Hey Shiv,
just wondering what you are doing to deal with o2 sensor preheat wait time?
i remember reading in the innovative forums that since they are using the
more reasonably priced o2 sensor, one of the trade-offs was that it doesn't heat
up instantly and needs a little preheat time before starting(10-20secs. iirc).
is there any trigger that maybe could light a dash mounted led while it getting
up to temp? kind of like the old diesel motors.

For support purposes, it only makes sense to make sure everyone is running the same unit. For those who already have the LC-1 and wish to purchase the other SMART components, let us know when you place an order so we can adjust the price accordingly.

shiv is using this output for the SMART adjustments, not just the o2 output.
another brand wideband is going to convert to their own specs and how knows
without a bit of work what those specs are. not likely the same exact signal though.

This is going to be revolutionary.
If the sensor were to stop working for whatever reason (loss of power, for instance), the XEDE would recognize the failure voltage and disable SMART fuel contol. FWIW, the LC-1 comes with a little LED which lights up when everything is working as it should. If anything where to happen, it would flash a troublecode. Simple as that

yay more blinking lights!
Also a question....will we need/get some sort of A/F gauge with this setup? Or is it not really neccesary?

Shiv,
Did you see my original post regarding the possibility of coming to your shop for the SMART system and a tune?
I am moving to LA which according to mapquest is about 5 hours plus from you but it will be well worth the drive if we can arrange it.
thanks,
-Doug

Shiv
Shiv, will this be available before the Socal dyno day? I will be down at Laguna Seca from the 7th-10th. I wouldn't mind stopping by your shop on Monday the 11th for an upgrade and some training
. Thanks.
. Thanks.
