White Rabbit Discussion - MERGED
Well the car is going back to the dyno later this week after the wideband gets hooked up into the car so I can look at the logs a little bit better, its kida hard to look at logs on the laptop and then look at the printout from the dyno wideband. I'm shooting for 400-410 this time and wont stop till I get it.
I created better flowing timing maps since the dyno and the car feels more linear thru the entire power band, but the power was decreased slightly. Hopefully this week I can get the afrs steady and start bumping the timing more agressively. Then after all of that hopefully a month down the road I can get the bunny drunk, just not sure what kit to get. If anyone is using one with this turbo gimme a PM and let me know how and where you got it from.
Forgot to add I am using UTEC not AEM

I'm using the SMC kit that I got from Buscher. Mine is a second generation kit so I'm able to do straight methanol or a mixture. I'm running half methanol and half distilled water right now and I'm pretty pleased with it. I've got mine set to start spraying at 18 lbs and max out at 26lbs.
Still trying to get this new BOV sorted out. Holds boost like a ****, but still getting some heavy fluttering at partial throttle. I'll keep trying though........
I'm using the Apex'i PowerFC D-Jetro and I'd LOVE to get 400-410 WITH the alky..... let me know how you do......

First off love the avatar
Is that a progressive controller. Not really sure on how much power alky meth or whatever gives but every little bit counts. I will keep everyone updated and hopefully if someone local is nice enough I can start posting dyno charts.

Thanks for the comment about the avatar. Actually, it's the decal that I made for my car after the bunny install. Here's a link to an actual picture:

Yes, it is a progressive controller and it really did make a difference. Timing was able to be advanced quite a bit and you'll be able to comfortably run a bunch more boost.
Good luck and post up some great results.

i was getting the fluttering sound before but i got rid of it today while doing some tweakin.what i did was cut off some more hose where i T the mbc(bov line)i made it as short as possible w/o kinks on it and its quiet now,no more fluttering sound.
evo_dadi,
exactly which hose did you shorten up? I'd really like to try this to see if if makes a difference.
Was it the hose the comes out the side of the BOV or the one that comes out the bottom?

doh missed that part
i shortened the hose between the T to the bov.so i tried it now with the JDM bov and it worked like a charm and took out the fluttering sound.ill try to take some pictures of it this afternoon when i get off of work.

i think this still relates to the white rabbit since mine started happening after my white rabbit turbo got installed.but here's the pictures anyways.
i should be getting mine tuned with ecutek this coming friday so ill be posting some new results by the end of the week.still deciding if i should do the water injection now or just get flashed for 93oct.

My WR Tune
Installed my WR and tuned yesterday. Results were disappointing. Net gain of 9whp and even less tq. Minimal gains up to 4k RPM, loss power and tq in the midrange (5-5500 RPM), gains from 6k to redline.
Mods
Cat-less TBE, HKS RS, 680CC HKS injectors, HKS F-Con SZ ECU in piggyback mode with Karmann Vortex MAF, Ceramic coated manifold, AMS LICP, Walbro, JDM MR DV
I wanted to see what the WR could do on stock ECU-controlled boost. Dyno tuned in 3rd where boost spikes to 1.4 and tapers to 1.3 bar. Boost is naturally higher in 4th thru 6th.
The water temp was unusually high, around 110 degrees C possibly because the exhaust manifold didn't have a heatshield. Samco radiator hoses were thermal-wrapped and car was left to cool for almost an hour- this helped some.
Metal heatshield will be fabricated and Buschur's $5 gadget shouldn't hurt either. A boost controller seems the logical next step. We are shooting for 1.7 bar or 25 psi on local 97 RON pump gas.
My concern is whether my targeted boost levels will trigger boost and/or fuel cuts, although I'm hopeful between the AVCR and F-Con the cuts can be eliminated.
Feedback?
