I believe that this is Paul from Evo NY. Lets just say, he has enough supporting mods including methanol to make good power. If this car does not do it. No car is going to do it.

For those who are wondering, I ended up having a customer who had to drive in from out of state on the day I was to drive back up to Dallas to dyno (cam install). However, since then I have had too much going on to even think about "personal car stuff". Everything from customers to an attempt to burglarize my home. Maybe some day soon I will have a chance to make it back that way, however, that is a 3+ hour drive for me one way.
I'm sure all the nay sayers could care less without "numbers", but I wouldn't give up my WR for anything short of a big turbo kit on a stroker. The car just drives too nice . Then again, maybe I no longer want anyone else to have one...
I just find it funny that a lot of the same people who swore by and trust RRE, FP, Tym Switzer, myself and others (who all have had good results [none so telling as RRE]), are now the same people who are screaming "snake oil" about a product they have no personal knowledge of what so ever. I also find it ludicrous that people keep asking for and apples to apples comparison with an peach and an apricot. The OE turbo runs out of breath before the WR was even designed to start breathing "better". If people so desperately need to compare the two, maybe they should be comparing them at elevated boost pressure vs. an OEish 20psi. If your looking for "big numbers", how about 25-27 psi.
On another note, people are completely forgetting about the increased all around drivability (the better pressure differential provided on the street under low speed driving conditions). Mitsuorder commented the other day... to make a yellow light at 2500rpm in 5th gear, I just simply gave it a little gas and the car just smoothly sped up though the light. He said that would never happen as well in his car at such a low rpm. The transient response is very nice on this unit for what it is. The only thing I don't like is that it is so noisy upon spool up. At .25 bar, my WR screams like an OE turbo through the OE air box at full song. Then again, that is a whole other issue that is even more subjective.
In short, I really like this turbo all the way around, and I have always been a "what works kind of guy"... and as far as I am concerned, it "works". For anyone waiting on me for "numbers", I'm sure I will get around to it as I'm not actively trying to sell them... can I, yes... however I will be "buttering no bread" with WR sales as I couldn't compete with FP.

^^ Exactly what I was hoping to hear from somebody in the know. What the hell is wrong with a turbo that spools as fast or faster than stock and is efficient at higher boost levels than stock? Who cares about big numbers, it's all about area under the curve and transient boost response if you are driving anywhere but a drag strip.
I finally got my WR installed yesterday afternoon and all i can say is wow. We did some dyno tuning and when this thing starts spooling hold on cause your going for a ride. This turbo pulls and pulls and pulls. I was waiting for the turbo to die off a little bit on the top end but the chart on the dyno just kept climbing. The tune isn't complete yet and I am still running very rich (10.6) and the timing still needs a little work but that will happen next week. When I finally got the car on the road with a very very conservative tune I was in awe on the power, spool up and sound of this turbo.
For all you nay sayers out there just by going on one person who couldn't gain power, well I feel sorry for you. This is the best stock replacement turbo I could have gotten. I want to say a huge thanks to all the guys at Switzer for all of my phone calls and the pleasure of dealing with such a great shop. I have never been treated any better and seemed more like a friend than a customer. Also I would like to mention KJ Auto in Waukesha, WI for the use of thier MD dyno, Herim picked up when I fell asleep on the dyno late last night, and a big thanks to Fireball for staying as late as he did and running the dyno when the others wanted to leave.
Oops before I forget I do have a dyno chart but am lacking a scanner right now, I gained anywhere from 70-120whp with this turbo and like I said before a very safe tune. I am waiting to get back on the dyno after a few road tune pulls.
See ya all, I'm going driving

Who did your tune? No Methanol? Your motor is all stock
? No head work? I'm smelling something and it not to good....
