Clutch install question...

I am having my clutch installed tommorrow... they charged me 350 for the install, I know the mechanic and he has done some really good work, but I was just wondering if this a good price for the work? I think it boiled down to $50/hr of labor or something like that.

How much have yall paid?

Just wondering,
Ron

If he does good work than thats a awsome price. My dealership wants ~$600 for a install and i don't trust any other shops around town, so i did it myself.

Most shops I talked to were asking in the 5-600 dollar range for a clutch install. I decided to do it myself, and based on my experience, i would say that 350 is a pretty good deal. It is not terribly difficult, just very time consuming. Kinda made me miss my old civic for a minute, no more 1 hour clutch swaps for me, haha.

done some really good work on installing evo clutch or just in general?

$300 is the lowest i've heard for install price.

hope it turns out ok.

Thing about evo clutch is that if you haven't done it once, they would have hard time figuring it out.

transfer case, etc. not fwd or rwd clutch install.

$350 is a good deal. Dealers normally want twice that. Most mechanics don't know how to work on Evos either. My local shop charged me $330 and did it in about 3 hours including resurfacing my flywheel.
