Driving without a tune?

Ok, I'm getting my cams installed (finally!) on Saturday, and I was wondering...what exactly does happen with the car with a set of 272s on there? Will I be too lean to run fast without a tune?

Note, I do plan to get the tune, just not the same day. So far I've got: Walbro pump, K&N drop in, UTEC (not running a map yet), Buschur TBE. The cams will be HKS 272, with adjustible gears.

Advice appreciated!

Considering you have the k&n, tbe, cams, and no aditional fuel, I'd be a lil nervous. Why not just dump some more fuel in?

Saying this, I have no hard evidence that you will run lean enough to damage anything. I'm trying to point out that you got the ability to dump the fuel, so do it.

Let's put it this way. Just to be safe after I had bigger injectors and the WR turbo put on, I tried to drive only in vacuum until the car was tuned.
