Max PSI Recommended?

Hey all, got my ecu back from DynoFlash last week after these mods.

Hallman MBC
HKS Racing Suction Intake
Running on 93 Octane.

Al recommended that I run at 21PSI for this tune.

So, my question is, what gear should I be setting that PSI in since I get about a 2 PSI increase between 2nd and 3rd?
Also, I talked to someone else about the recommended PSI and he thought it was way too high without a larger fuel pump installed. All thoughts and comments from all of you more experienced tuners out there would be greatly appreciated.

21 psi on 93 octane is fine - esp. where you're tuned for a safe A/F ratio.

ok.. im running 1.35-1.40 mmhg rought 20.5lbs on 91 octane..it holds steady there then tapers to 19.. but it spikes to 22.. occasionally 23 under heavy load. Is this ok if its only momentary? It will rise up to that amount and immediately level off to 1.35-1.40.. im running an AVC-R.

I was running a Dynoflash without a MBC and I saw a momentary spike of 25psi without any issues. I think you'll be fine.

So, 21 PSI in 3rd gear with a stock Fuel Pump should be a good fit? Great. Thanks for the input.

just a question.. the avc-r is fully adjustable. I understand that the main issue with running a constant boost level of 22psi would be in 4 and 5 gear.. the engine is under heavy load and you could detonate pretty bad. I have my avc-r set with higher duty cycles in 1st and 2nd gear.. so the boost spools very fast.. almost uncontrolled and may peaks high (sometimes 1.55 mmhg when going through a turn) then levels off to a bout 21psi.. but then i have my start duty cycles for 3rd gear at +0% and then im reducing duty cycles in 4th and 5th so that it will only hit a max of 20psi then taper to 19 at redline... is over boosting in first and second an issue or should i not worry about it because the engine is under that much load.
