All I can say is, this 20g is a very big difference when you compare it to stock turbo/stage4. It has a lot more top end and kicks in just like stock.
That day, the boost around 25psi was holding very steady and it spooled very identical to stock, you can't tell if it is stock or not until the boost hits and pulls like a plane, that's where you say woow..
How much more top end, how many more rpms from what it used to be do you get.

I had to go to an industrial supply to find it myself. Places like NAPA, Autozone, etc. usually carry the Permatex line but don't have the top of the line antiseize. Hardly anyone buys it due to the expense.

Permatex (spelling) makes a copper anti-size thats good til like 1800f. I used the same stuff on my brakes with no probs

Item # 09128

Now I need to find something with a good heat rating to seal my downpipe. I found some Permatex silicone but it's only good to 650f

I used the Permatex Nickel stuff when I swapped my turbo. It's good to 2400 degrees.

Thanks for the advice, but I was looking for the real hi-temp stuff that you usually can't find at the chain stores.

I used high temp muffler repair compound. Not sure of the brand name but it goes on as a paste squezed out of a tube, and then hardens up. Not hard like JB weld hard though...you can get it apart when you need to.

Malibu,

Been seeing many many cars come through here on our dyno. One thing the headers all have in common, a huge loss in low end power! I think every car I have dyno'd with a stock replacement header has taken a good 30 whp/ft lb of torque hit in the mid range over the stock ported manifold.

header

or mine for that matter. When I installed my headers, I noticed a significant increase in low/mid range power. A LOT. Top end was not changed much or just not as noticeable.

I think it depends on the runner size.. many of the headers I've seen have huge runners which lowers exhaust velocity..

I tend to agree with Dave though about losing some torque if you have large tube headers, especially if their not "tuned" appropriately for the turbo size (which most aren't)

Will a stroker kit help with the surge issue? or make it worse?
