A/C puts an extra load on your car, (basically the way the throttle gives load when you're driving), so theoretically, yes, it should make the turbo THINK you're 100% throttling it. But you have to remember the power it robs hence why you feel sluggish performance -you wont reap any benefits of turning on the a/c.

it will spool faster. more load means spools faster. just like more people in your car will spool faster... does that mean you're going faster? maybe... maybenot....

also... the ac compressor is turned off when you go full throttle... so how do you even know?

LOL. It's not really a go fast idea, just trying to understand what's happining a little bit. Good info, I didn't realize the compressor dis-engages at wot.

Mine bogs pretty hard with the AC on, off throttle (BOV,cams,etc.). So when you gas it and it finally gets goin it takes off like a MF unles you slip the clutch a bit.

Without the AC on it's much smoother/ easier to control throttle smoothly.

and that's the thing... boost does come on faster when you're not at wide open... i've noticed it :\. and if you want smoother ac operation get a grounding kit... that's all they're good for.

Grounding kits are only useful if your car from the factory has issues with bad grounds. I would assume that an EVO has good grounds and therefore grounding kits would be a waste of money.
