You don't know that the K&N Typhoon is the absolute worst intake for the Evo? Go do a quick search, and you will be selling that intake by tomorrow.

What were using to read boost? You didn't mention a boost gauge of your own. What was telling you the "peak" boost?

the dyno dynamics computer read psi was 17.3 peak..

why have i been hearing mixed things about the intake.. alot of people, like harmanmotive say they always use the k&n typhoon intake.. and ur saying it sucks... why is it absolute worst?

the k&n intake while may not be a good intake, it should not affect your boost. 17.3 psi could be ok for a stock 03 depending on temp/humidity, the gauge and the gear you're in. Also if you dyno'd on a dyno dynamics dyno, don't compare that 209AWHP to the dynojet #'s you normally see. Ask the shop how much whp a stock evo dynos there.

... its dynoed in 4th gear.. it was a lil warm but we had ALOT of fans on the ic and the whole car, like 1 huge fan and 6 of those blue turbo shaped fans on the car, and shudnt it hit 19 since its factory boost settings?

most dyno's use fans, that will not change the temp much. no you don't always see exactly 19 stock, there are many factors.

leave the intake
either get an mbc (best choice)
or replace your hose on the compressor outlet nipple , you might have the restrictor pill missing https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...9&postcount=40
