alchy/water/ww with no boost increase

I'm wondering if anyone has any dyno sheets of their car running a regular gas map, and then the same map spraying alchy/meth/water

Coolingmist says they saw like 14whp from a stock SRT-4 running a water shot and a few degrees of timing advance.

Considering they dyno at like 225 to the wheels stock, 14whp is pretty damn nice for 250 bucks invested.

I'm hoping to see increases when I decide to set my own kit up. It seems like every person that sprays alchy automatically starts cranking the boost. I just don't like being reliant on something like alchy, if the system and the fail safes in place fail you've got a big issue on your hands.

I realize very few people have had problems, but I'm pretty conservative =p

it all lies in the tune, how much you spray and how soon...........and all evos are different

Obviously, I'm thinking a small spray, starting at 17psi and keeping my current tune for 23psi (on 94octane).

I'm thinking I would benefit the most from windshield washer or straight water.

Straight water is supposed to have better cooling effects than alky, so if you aren't going to pull fuel when you add the system, then you are probably better off just injecting water. I'm thinking of doing this approach myself because I have the same concern about being dependent on the system. I figure that if you gain 15 hp or so with no risk for minimal investment, it's worthwhile. I'm thinking that if I tune the car to the edge on pump and then add water for a safety margin, that if the system faults it will probably knock but not in a catostrophic way.

Bring it to a professional You will lose power if you don't increase the boost, increase timing, or lean out the afr.

I saw an increase of 35whp and 46 ftlbs at roughly the same boost level while injecting straight methanol and running a different advance curve. This is on a DD dyno, so the difference is even larger on a Dynojet.

Of course, this is with dyno tuning. Needless to say, you won't see that type of result injection a couple hundred cc/min of water.
