installed my XSPower intercooler this week
i just installed mine yesterday. fitment was really hard especially that LICP. it just woudn't fit but i got it and after that the bumper was touching the couplers on both sides, then i had to adjust the pipes a lil bit. n now it looks n works great.
everything went quick and easy w/ my install. I know at the beginning of this thread (which i havent read all the way through) some were talking about gaining weight over stock w/ how heavy the xs fmic is, but if you pull the crash bar like i did, then it all works itself out w/ weight. The crash beam is only rated at like 5 mph i hear anyway...
For the money you cant beat it IMHO...

The front crash beam is one of the strongest I have seen on a Mitsu. I withstands much more than 5mph.
The dsm bars used to be made of a non-metal substance which was able to be cut and trimmed.

I can't seem to find an IC listed from XSPower. Is this the same unit?

Alos, will this fit an IX? I jsut read this ENTIRE thread and it seems like this might be a worthwhile purchase. An upgraded IC is something I would consider for summers here in the south. Heat soak is a big issue here.

Well keep in mind that our front crash beams aren't just there to promote shock absorbency like most other cars but also to keep our intercooler protected in the event of a crash in order to allow the vehicle to move under it's own power afterwards.
Where did you get that info?
