Intake?

Let me begin by saying YES, I DID search before posting.

Question: I want to get an intake to increase hp/engine response a little, as well as increase turbo noise/bov noise. From doing the search I have gained that the AEM CAI, Injen CAI, RMR Filter, and ARC Induction box are good choices.

I guess what I am asking is.. for the money which of these best performs? I don't want to pay a lot, but I DO want something that is worth-while (for now, as well as future with other mods) and will perform well.

If something is better than what I have posted, please state it, and why its good.

Thanks.

..and this is exactly why a lot of people complain about people on this forum. Forums are for people to discuss, as well as find out new information from others. If someone wants to post a new topic about their concern, they should be able to without being criticized about it.

I have a DSG 3" aluminum intake pipe with a Blitz Sus filter. The filter is made of stainless steel mesh, and it is very loud. I don't think it comes down to better, more like preference. The Blitz intake has a very mechanical sound that works well for me. I don't recommend the Blitz filter without a re-Flash cause it runs like a$$ over 4,000 Rpm.

Good Luck

a tune is a must with the intake because you will lose boost because the ecu is trying to compensate. A boost controller will be needed to raise the boost level back to stock or higher. I have the Injen with hardpipe and don't regret it. Aem, Hks, helix are all good but there is a thread about the typhoon saying how bad it was. Keep in mind the stocker will get you into 11's still.

Yea, someone told me that with a intake tho... the turbo is louder, the stock bov is loud, and you gain engine performance. All of that sounded good to me, I love bov noise, as well as turbo noise.. so it sounded like a good idea to me.

If there is another way to do this, please let me know. I would be happy just getting a new bov.. and being able to hear it. But is that possible? (when recirulated?)

You can faintly hear the APS bov, and your car will run great with it.

HKS Racing Suction Intake System is another good choice

Unbelievable...

Just buy the Injen Intake and call it a day. It will meet all of your "needs."
