Hallman Pro RX and the stock boost solenoid
CLIFFNOTES:
Can I simply make a vacuum line loop around the stock boost solenoid?
For 20 PSI should I be using the heavy spring?
How many turns (approximately) will equal 20PSI?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm going to be installing my Pro RX this weekend. I'll be using the Turbo outlet nipple for the reference port and I have a question regarding the stock boost solenoid.
In order to keep the stock appearance, and not bother with vacuum caps, can't I simply connect one port of the stock boost solenoid to the other? I have an aftermarket turbo inlet pipe with a bung for the stock boost solenoid so instead of capping it, i was thinking of simply making a loop of vacuum line and leaving it as-is.
I seriously doubt that this would cause any problems but is there something I'm missing?
In addition, I SHOULD be using the heavy spring in the RX right? My thinking: stock wastegate actuator is set at 12psi, the light spring can only add 5psi, totalling 17. I'd like to get a solid 20, so I figure I should use the heavy spring.
Any clue on how many turns = 20PSI on the Pro RX?
Thanks for your help

I've heard you can make a loop, but I bought some extra caps at autozone.
I used the heavy spring for 20 PSI and it works great.
I have it about 4 1/2 turns....
I hope this helps and good luck!
