TSB for tranny rattle, where is it?

A blown shaft seal won't make the tranny rattle, unless you're low on fluid. Just depends on when it rattles also. If the car is idling wih the a/c on and the clutch out, and you get a rattle, then depress the clutch and the rattle goes away, that's just normal tranny noise.

If it's rattling on deceleration with the car in gear, I can't help you there, I don't have that problem.

The supras do the same thing, so much so the stock flywheel is viscously coupled to dampen the tranny noise at idle. Swap to an aftermarket solid flywheel, and you'd think your transmission was broke (and so do the people next to you at the light), but it's totally normal.

I think different people are experiencing different rattling noises at different times, confusing this thread even further.

me also...and no my tranny rattled no matter what, ac on or off, clutch out...it always quit with clutch in.....it got louder when my tranny leaked, i guess cause most fluid was gone, but something had to cause the leak.

yea myn rattles all the time unless i push the clutch down then it goes away. Also the dealer has to perform these tsb even if the car is moddified right?

im not sure...but mine is being repaired supposedly, but not under warranty because of my mods, but if i can find a TSB..i wonder what would be said?
