I have a 2005 EVO MR w/ JIC dp, hks hi-power catback exhaust hks ssqv BOV and im about to get a K&N typhoon short ram intake...my boy said i should get my car tuned..do i necessarlity need to? like is it bad for my car if i dont?

Yeah, I was thinking the same way about the K&N. You should probably swap that out for something different, and then get a tune. Lots of people are having problems with that particular intake. Once that is done, a tune would definitely be a good idea, like a flash or some sort of piggyback.

 

Owner of a typhoon and it sucks. Definitely will need a tune if you go with that.

 

i was also lookin at the HKS RS intake.....what happens if i did get an intake and didnt tune my car?
