Ok, so I've had the kit on for a while and am finally getting the car tuned a little bit better than before. I switched over to the AEM EMS and converted to MAP sensor so the driveability is much better but still has a few hiccups that I'm trying to work out. I may just have someone else tune it on the dyno shortly. I did one dyno run with it in really poor tune which was much less than spectacular number wise. I finally have some data for spoolup, and it is laggy but I can live with that for now. I have the cam gears adjusted to -4/I and -2/E currently, this log might be from when I had it set at -3/-3 though. the AFR drops to about 10.5 once it reaches full boost.

Giving full throttle starting from 3300 rpms:
3500 - .2psi
4000 - 2.2
4500 - 5.1
5000 - 10.5
5500 - 19.7
6000 - 22.1
6500 - 23
8000 - 23

It might be the cam setting. I'm using -3 , -3 and I hit full boost (26psi) by 5000rpms.

Sorry, that was second gear. I'll try to get another log after some more tuning.

A 3037 with good tuning you can see 400whp+ on pump gas and 450 -480ish with alky.

im mostly concerned directly with the atp kit. under the search you get about 50 pages on these turbos and 1/2 say its crap and the other say its a good turbo. i dont know anyone in my area with any sized atp kit. so, im left to read about and hope to find some decent info of atp owner feedback.

Appreciate the pics.

What size tire?

Did you use spacers and if so what size front and rear?

Did you have to roll fenders?

Does it rub?

You are welcome to check it out anytime, you are in OR right? For the most part I've been pretty happy with it since it was so cheap, so I expect there to be some shortcomings. One of the big limitations I had when I firsts dynoed was that I couldn't rev past the stock rev limiter and you could see on the dyno sheet it was still climbing strongly but only made 315whp at that rpm. I might just head to Torque Freaks and have them tune the car and see what it's really capable of since I doubt the tweaking I'm doing is completely optimum and would make for a bad comparison.

cool build, Interesting to see the head gasket issues.

I'd have replaced the rings, but ya gotta stop some place.

So did you ever get solid dyno #'s with this kit??? If you have a printout of the dyno could you post it???

By the way nice build. I am anxious to see what you are making in power because i am considering buying this kit. Did you use the stock injectors or upgrades??

Turbos just laggy way too much
For example...

On ISP 35R kit Im seeing 22Psi @ 4800 RPMS UNTUNED. When its tuned it should drop to 4200-4500 rpms. 26psi should be seen around the same time.

Whoa, laggggfest. On the whole are you satisfied with your setup? I am running a 3076, albeit on a stroker and I see 22 psi by about 3800 rpms....

The lag is a little better now that I have AEM EMS, but on the whole I'm satisfied based on the price I paid. I hit 30 psi at around 6k on race gas and the top end is pretty crazy. If I had to do it over I'd save up a little more money and buy a 35R. I've done two track days on this setup and it's worked out really well. I had no problem getting by just about anything that was on the track, corners or straight.
