no i taped everything off, and only ported the top where the maifold meets the hotside. i took off about 1/8" of material at the most on the sides so that there was no interferance of airflow between that and the gasket. i posted a pic of it somewhere. in a thread i made. here i found it

ps. i also cut the new gasket so that center divider is not there.

 

Thanks for the pic link. Are you also going to take out that split divider as well. I was follow that other guys link (smokinjoe i think) and he ported out the divider figure i try that out too.

 

i did on my new gaskit. the pis shows an old gaskit. i cut it out and grinded it nicely
