Question Oil Filter Size

Hi.
I just got a PureOne Oil filter and realized a big difference in filter size. I put it on anyway but the OD of the filter is much smaller than the Mitsu stock one. The rubber seal location is the same as Mitsu's but the overall size is smaller and longer.
Is it the right size? The part number is PL14610.
Has anyone use this before?
I hope it's correct, I"m going to the Dragon in TN tomorrow.

Here are the specs on PL14459 and PL14610:
PL14459:

Height: 2.95
Anti-Drain Back Valve: Yes
O.D.: 3.15
Relief Valve P.S.I.: 12-15
Type of Filter: Spin-on
Threads: M20x1.5

PL14610:
Relief Valve P.S.I.: 14-18
Height: 3.52
Threads: M20-1.5
Anti-Drain Back Valve: Yes
Type of Filter: Spin-on
O.D.: 2.69

Notice the height on the PL14459...it's shorter than the PL14610. The relief valve on the PL14459 is a few psi less than the PL14610. It's safe!

Now, it seems like I have a slow leak. It could be from all the mess I made from the swap. I might have to take it off and re-tighten again. What a mess just to change the oil.

i work @ advance auto parts, ive been there for almost 4 years that pure one is an awesome filter i always reccomend that to the customers. not sure on the # off hand but.....never run any fram EVER the last tests they did they found fragments of cardboard in the engine form the filter...the last thing we need is that happening esp. crap in the fun maker (turbo). just a warning....if you believe in fram have fun ill stick to the pure one or OE. BTW i believe it was comsumer reports that did this test the pure one was rated #1
