lifter tick after oil change

I changed the oil the other day in my 03 evo.

I used royal purple 10w-30
The filter is a mobile 1 model 1-108

anyway, I've noticed the usual lifter tick has increased quite a bit. Is it due to too thin of oil? Bad filter?

The new filter I put on was smaller then the old one. Would this affect anything?

Are you sure it's a lifter tick? It may just be your injectors? Maybe you just need to bleed the lifters though.

it's your lifters...different oils are not all equal

I'll stick with AMSOIL no lifter tick and no problems
