AL: maybe you could plan a trip once the e9 20g's are in? I'll be needing another custom tune for sure!

I bought a ported TME 20g from David a few months back or so, and I can say it does make more power than my stock turbo (9.8 hotty). Unfortunately, mine had taken a crapper under 200 miles of use.

David was nice enough to offer me $300 for my stocker, but he sent it back because it appeared that something went through my turbo (running stock airbox) and my seals had gone bad. I don't know how that happened?

So all the sudden after minimal hard driving with the new turbo, I could only make 1-2psi of boost (20g) and there was a terrible noise from the engine bay. I never thought is was the turbo so I took my car to AMS, and they told me my "stock" turbo was shot, impellar messed and shaft play. Little did they know it was a "new" 20g (pretty stealth turbo). So I bought a new 05 turbo (10.5) and I like it very much.

I sent the 20g back to Buschur and am waiting to hear from them. Hopefully they can help me out. Maybe the 20g-9 will get rid of the surging. I did however find a solution to minimize surging to almost none- stock airbox!

I really can't tell if the 20g makes more power than the 10.5, fells about the same. Too bad my but dyno is not the most accurate. I'll let you guys know what Buschur tells me when they inspect it.

Boys, boys, boys...

The worst thing you can do for your ego and your wallet is to put your car on the dyno up against someone else and then come on here and try to compare. I think you should stop coming on here and start enjoying your car and how it's set up. Hopefully, you did it in a way that you're happy and you can come here and share information without having to wave your pecker around and hope that everyone else thinks it's a decent size.

Build it, drive it, enjoy it, fuhgheddaboudit.

I wish i had known about the ported one. When i ordered no one told me there was such a thing. Has the ported one been working better than the regular 20g?

eve-slow,

We got the turbo and your right, it is shot. I sent it back in and have full intentions of trying to get it completely warrantied for you. The shaft is shot, it appears to have either starved for oil or some dirt or something went through the oil line. Either way, it's already enroute to the turbo shop, I am hoping to get it covered in full.

Sorry for the inconvienence.

Hey, just wondering how your problem sorted itself out. Did you get another 20G 8?
