tsb= technical service bulletin

from tre's site:

[quote]
Not to be confused with the technical service bulletin from Mitsubishi; this is our comprehensive repair and TSB update for the 2003-05 EVO-8 transmissions. This will include the factory TSB's as well as our own corrections and machine work. The cost of this repair starts at $650. This is money well spent because it'll keep other problems from causing damage to your transmission. [\quote]

also any answer to what a TSB is? sorry =P
Trans Safety Board notice for something to watchout for in the car....hence synchro...etc

Ive seen many a people with the ralliart...they just dont post to your question.
They are not too expensive (compared to the drop in Quaife) and do take the beating...take alook at the uk lancer sites and you shall see.

The spider gears that Jon provides are simply a forged version of the spider gears found in the stock evo w/o LSD. They are not welded together in ghetto fashion to provide a mock LSD. It is still an open diff., just with stronger internals.

The Ralliart LSD is the only way you're gonna get an LSD from Jon, unless you provide your own.

I've been getting alot of PM's about this and I'm sorry but you are gonna have to send Jon your questions because rebuilds are priced differently on the amount of damage that needs to be fixed. The prices on Jon's site are pretty realistic.

As for downtime, my car was down for a much longer period than the rebuild normally requires due to some unfortunate circumstances that Jon was going thru so my experience was anything but the norm.

You can stop PM'ing me now

the ralliart should be pretty strong, the quaife is strong, same design just the quaife is electron beam welded instead of held together by bolts that can break.
