where to find a center diff?

So I have sent my transfer case off to shep to be rebuilt because it had the death wine. Once they had got into it and told me the damage of course the ring and pinion was bad as well as the diff (which was an open diff). Now heres the issue they don't have a good open diff to replace it with and they don't have a stock lsd either. So my options at this point are to wait for them to get a transfer case with a good diff that I could use, or buy a new wavetrac from them which is 975 or so and then another 975 for them to put it all back together. I guess I can do this but would prefer not to have to shell out that kind of cash at the moment. Keep in mind they have had my transfer case for a little over a month now with no luck in a good diff showing up that I would be able to use. The question I am asking I guess is does anyone know where I could find a good rs lsd diff for sale to try and save some money? Any input would be much appreciated thanks.

IIRC, its not the center diff you need. Its the front diff.

Have you tried looking for a used transfercase?

If you dont want to spend money on upgrading the front diff to a wavetrac or quaife then you could buy a used working transfercase and sell the old transfercase as a core.

Yea I have been looking at used tcases, and I just was liking the thought of it all being refreshed and know exactly what I was getting, How much would the core go for?

Nope front diff is in the transmission, center diff is in the tcase. As for finding one cheaper, good luck unless you find a used one in the for sale section or ebay. $975 is a pretty good price for a new center diff, idk how much a new rs lsd is but a quaife is about 1200.

the ****ty thing about this whole thing is I found a good rs lsd diff on ebay a week in a half ao on ebay and i bought it and had it ship straight to shep and thought my problem was solved. it was located in new york and they got hit with that snow storm and i guess their buildings roof collapsed and they said they werent shipping anything and refunded my money and I cant really get ahold of them anymore. I offered the guy an extra 50 bucks if he'd personally have it shipped.

Hahahaha I'm sorry not laughing at you but what was their roof made of cardboard? We currently have 3-4 ft on my roof now (because I'm too lazy to climb up there and shovel) and I'm not even worried.

I believe they said it was made of ham sandwiches. I don't know why they wouldn't ship that out you'd think they would like the money to repair their shop.

This is not true. Have you disassembled either? The front differential is located in the transfer case, the center diff is in the trans.
