It is regratable to see Vendors acting in this manner
I feel that Shiv has personally lowered the entire tone of this whole message board over the past few weeks he has been resorting to his same negative marketing methods to promote his Ecutek tuning
Its always interesting to note that the people who are complaining about a quality, excelent product like the BR330 are other vendors and not the acutal customers. On the contrary do a search and you will find that the owners of the BR cars have raved about the experience.
Here we have a total of 4 authorized Ecutek dealers participating in this discussion about testing a BR330 car tuned with ecutek. I find this a very disspointing stats of affairs

Well atlvalet, you must be looking through some smoke colored glasses to not see the same thing I am.
When I test someone else's product I set out to do a fair test. I don't first make comments about "MOON DYNOS" and such. Isn't that an indicator that there might just be some type of hard feelings or something between the two shops? That would be an indicator to just about anyone that a fair test isn't coming down the pipes.

Above is a link to a thread on nisei's website. I have had a problem with their comparison test of dimension already as they will lead you to believe that no matter what their intercooler is the best. I do not feel their fin design is superior to ours or others as a matter of fact my opinion is it is inferior. A real test needs to be done which I am willing to do.

For freaking goodness sakes. If the air outside is 70 degrees the intercooler is going to be 70 degrees, passing compressed air (Which is hotter than ambient) is NOT going to make the air coming out the other side of an intercooler BELOW ambient.
Stuff like this just pisses me off. Give me a break and stop lieing to your customers.

Air goes into intercooler, slows down, static pressure rises. It's cooled to near ambient temperatures, speeds back up, pressure drops. (Bernoulli principle) When the static pressure drops, so does the apparent temperature read from any probe not well within the head of the fluid flow.
I've heard of one other case where this happened. Of course, since temperature in a fluid is essentially defined by the average kinetic energy of the particles therein, the temperature isn't actually below ambient. But, because much of the kinetic energy is directed in the direction of the fluid flow, the temperature probe will not "see" that kinetic energy unless it protrudes well into the flow.
Hopefully I'm not beating a dead horse. I just thought that was interesting.

Then claims get made that 330whp on Buschur's Mustang dyno equal a 124mph trap speed. In response to which (ignoring the snide remarks in between) a simple and reasonable question is asked:
Ok, yes it was confirmed with Buschur's own car.
Then someone makes the simple statement that they are going to dyno a BR330, and immediately get denounced for being biased?!?
followed by:
riiiiight.... especially since the moon dyno was in response to your jibe ....
Can I assume that the vendor statement was meant to include Buschur and yourself? (because it certainly should) Furthermore, how did we suddenly arrive at 4 vendors discussing the tuning of a BR330? We didn't, because the discussion really was about Evo 9 ECU tuning in general. Although quite a few of the involved vendors did manage to make uncalled for comments (that includes the IC testing comment by Shiv). Quite frankly the only thing that needs to "get lost" are the bad attitudes around here.

- are the injectors the same size as on the VIII?
- has the fuel pump been upgraded vs. the VIII?

Guys, guys, what the HELL happened to this thread? Today is the first time I started to read it. It started out great, and Shiv was giving the evom community a wealth of information. We're lucky to have tuners post in-depth info like this -- it's good reading, and certainly educational to learn how the different ECUs work.
I was gonna post to say "Nice work, Shiv!", but then figured I'd go to page 5. I then found myself transported into a toilet bowl with a bunch of people pissing all over the place.
Like Shiv said, if things get uncivilized, start a new thread and ***** there. But at least let him post up his findings on the IX ECU in peace. TIA
