I was just about to ask the same exact thing. This is almost as bad as the head swap I did on someone's DSM in the dead of winter (10 degrees), in a muddy gravel driveway.

Check out the hydraulic press on the right. Man, my wife wouldn't let me get away with having machinery on the patio!

I made one modification to the tranny. I drilled out a hole for the bleeder cable. If I would have stuck it thru the boot it would have bent downward before going up. I figured it would make bleeding the system a pain in the ***. Here is a pic.

tell him to include 2 stainless steel lines so we don't have to cut the line.. Also add a clutch alignment tool with the kit.

Just out of curiousity, how are you supporting the engine with the tranny out? Is there something under the car holding it up? I have used an engine hoist when I have done clutches to hold to drivers side of the engine up.

As always, awesome writeup and documentation Joey!

Like what you see? I have one more Joey Butafuco special Tilton Hybrid in my possession for the same sweet deal Joey received.

PM me for pricing. $1300-$1699 range. Minimum advertised price regulations prohibit listing actual price on the forum. If your budget falls in this range, hit me up for the last one I am aware of in the U.S.

If we burn the rest of our 136pass stock clutch tonight at the track, you can forget about buying it, though.

Ok I have driven the car all day today. So far the clutch is amazing. The pedal is allot lighter than stock and feels great. It grabs harder than stock but its not to aggresive.

My only complaint with the kit was that it does not include two stainless lines. They make you cut the line and add the ends yourself. Getting the stainless lines not to leak is a little tricky. I am sure that issue will be addressed in the future.

Next weekend I will be taking it to the track and see how it holds. I am pretty confident I will not have a problem with the clutch. Tilton has engineered a great product and anyone in need of a clutch should pick up the deal TTP is offering.

SWEET!!! i just got mine today, haven't even opened it yet...haha, anyways, are you having problems with the lines leaking? i think i am going to install this myself, so i want to know exactly what i am in for...

could you just buy another SS line with the fittings already attached? i guess i need to open the box and take a look at it...
