ACD Article - Answers for everybody!
I went on a hill run with some buddies this morning and on the way down I noticed that all three ACD lights were on. Also, a few times the car was not pulling as hard as it used to. I had the TC fluid checked and it was fine. ACD fluid was at minimum but still within limits so I just topped off. We then checked error codes and found that aside from my usual O2 sensor fault (no-cat), I has a TPS malfunction code. Turns out that the gentleman who installed my new throttle body only had one bolt in and forgot the second one. The TPS shifted position . Once that was sorted out, I drove home with a heavy foot to test the thing and so far no problems. Hope it stays that way.

Right, but what I meant was why would you want to fork out close to 4K more to have something installed when it is already installed from the factory? Unless it is for an 8, then it might be worth it.
The $4K was giving the benefit of a doubt, high end mind you... Parts, Labor, Fluid, anything that might go wrong, break... As far as where you figure its not costing $2.5K to install, maybe not but it will not be under $2K, if it is I would like to know where your taken it and who is doing the work; how good is the warranty?
However in a thread relating directly to the ACD then your off topic and you wont get a very targeted result.
Making sense yet? Not trying to be a interwebz douche, but if you expect some input on a question thats off topic then make a thread about it.... THAT will get you the information your requesting.
Haha ya didn't work. I started a thread and no one even replied. its as if im the first person to think about replacing the ACD with an aftermarket center diff....
So i'll ask again here, has anyone done this?
Is there a disadvantage to having the ACD lights on? Is it bad to drive with them all on?
Thanks for anyone who can help me out.

^thanks man. Ya from my research that is all true but I would like to know if you can swap in the aftermarket center diff. and completely remove the whole ACD components, like the diff itself, the pump and the fluid lines.
I would also like to know the disadvantages of running the car with the ACD lights on?
