I would say that's a safe bet.

Do you port the ebay housing, or is it opened up enough stock? Thanks!

I don't think they can port it but that's something I think they may have been trying to do. As far as I know they are just coating them.

Thanks, that is what I was looking for. I didn't know if the flange still had to be gasket matched by hand or if it was good from the factory.

The ebay o2 is thin as hell, there is no way you're going to be able to port it without rubbing a hole right through it. Only thing I did with mine was to clean up the welds on the inside of the flange that connects to the hotside.

Dang! this Ebay O2 really gives you more power even with 91 gas. I just got the reading from my ghetto style road testing dyno(works somewhat like Gtech). It made about 10whp more! and I got about 30 tq gain .
And, Yes I ported my O2 housing and coated it. You can port the flange so that it makes smooth transition to where the pipe is welded.

Did you notice any change in the exhaust note or boost levels?

FYI - The EVO-M prices on these O2 have gone up so if you are looking for an ebay O2 housing do a search for EVO & DUMP.

I just picked one up with a buy it now for $75 shipped. If you dont mind dicking around and watching auctions you can save about $10.

I have the EBay O2 housing, and just FYI, I measured the wall thickness and it measured in at just a hair over 2.0mm, basically 2.09mm thickness. For the metric illiterate, that's 0.0825" thick. (That's the wall thickness) So, it doesn't seem to be as thin as most people make it out to be.

BTW, I measured it with my Mitutoyo 6" Digital Calipers with their caliper accessory kit.

Awesome info. I think the longevity of the Ebay02 will be great. I remember some people doubted them at first but they arent thin and they have first class welds. Good deal for our cars! High power part for cheap!
