P0300 fix, TSB-05-13-003, what are the updates?

Does anyone have a definate answer and knows exactly what was changed in the updated reflah for the P0300 fix per TSB-05-13-003. I searched but didn't find what I was looking for. My understanding is that the noise to either the cam sensor or knock sensor was dampened. Reason why I'm asking is that my idle seems to be a bit different. It's 875+or-100, but before the reflah it would just hang at 875-900 rpm. Now, when coming to a stop it seems to stick just around 950 for a bit. I'm probably being overly **** about it, but curious to see if anything else was changed in the reflash, i.e. Fuel map, ignition timing, idle curve, spark dwell... Anyone know?

My P0300 was caused by a new clutch, never had it for 45,000 miles.

Below is the TSB, not sure if its been posted already

No: TSB-05-13-003

DATE: February, 2005

MODEL: 2003-04 Evolution
SUBJECT:
PCM REPROGRAMMING FOR DTC P0300 RANDOM MISFIRE (LANCER Evolution)

This TSB supersedeas TSB-04-13-007, issued July, 2004, to provide updated reprogramming information. Revised information is shown with black arrows and asterisks.

PURPOSE

Due to incorrect parameters in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, the "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light may come on and set DTC P0300 (random misfire) To eliminate this condition, reprogram the PCM as described in this bulletin.
*NOTE: There are various fuel-related and ignition-related concerns that may cause DTC P0300 to set. Reprogramming the PCM as described in this bulletin will not address all of these concerns. Be sure to diagnose the entire fuel and ignition systems, using DTC P0300 service manual diagnosis procedures. After reprogramming, always test drive the vehicle to confirm the effectiveness of the repair.*

AFFECTED VEHICLES
2003-2004 Lancer Evolution

PROCEDURE
CAUTION BATTERY VOLTAGE (AS MEASURED AT THE BATTERY POSTS WITHOUT ELECTRICAL LOAD) MUST BE 12.4V OR HIGHER IN ORDER TO REPROGRAM THE PCM.

1. Check the underside of the hood to verify that there is no label previously installed to indicate that this TSB reprogramming has already been done.

2. Verify that the vehicle's PCM part number is listed in the table in Step 10.

a. Verify whether the ROM ID is the same as the ROM ID listed in the table in Step 10. If the ROM ID is the same as or higher than the ROM ID in the table, the PCM has already been reprogrammed for this concern.

3. Use the MUT-III to erase all DTCs set in the PCM.

4. Verify that your MUT-III has the most current version of the reprogramming database:

a. Select "Special Function", then select "ECU Reprogramming."

b. Select "Database File Display". The database version is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. * Make sure the database version is N05021 or greater.*

c. If the database version is less than N05021, go to Step 5.

d. If the database version is N05021 or greater, go to Step 8.

5. Turn the ignition key to OFF and disconnect the MUT-III.

6. Gather the following reprogramming equipment:

- * MUT-III/STV Reflash Update CD 3/05 or later*

- Memory Card 128 MByte Compact Flash MB991853

- Memory Card Adapter PCMCIA MB991939

- "Engine Compartment/Control Module" Labels p/n MSSF-024G-00

7. * Install Reflash Update CD 3/05 in the MUT-III laptop. Follow the CD installation instructions.*

8. Transfer the reprogramming data from the laptop to the memory card.

9. Remove the memory card from the laptop and install it in the VCI. Connect the VCI to the vehicle. YOU MUST DISCONNECT THE MUT-III LAPTOP.

10. Select "Automatic Programming (K-line)." For reprogramming details, refer to TSB-03-00-015. It will take up to 20 minutes to complete the reprogramming.

NOTE: If the message "ECU at Current Level of VCI" appears, the PCM did not reprogram. Verify that the ROM ID is the same as the ROM ID listed in the table shown.

^ If the ROM ID is the same as or higher than the ROM ID in the table, the PCM has been reprogrammed for this concern.

^ If it is not, verify that the correct database update is in the MUT-III and was transferred to the memory card, and that the memory card is properly installed in the VCI.

CAUTION DO NOT DISTURB THE HARNESS CABLES OR CONNECTIONS. INTERRUPTION DURING THE PROGRAMMING PROCESS COULD CAUSE THE PCM TO LOSE DATA OR PREVENT FUTURE PCM REPROGRAMMING.

The table lists the PCM part numbers, ROM IDs, and corresponding vendor numbers that will display after reprogramming.
a. After reprogramming is completed, the new ENG ROM ID and new A/T ROM ID will display alternately with the message "Turn IG SW OFF" every four seconds. Note this information. Verify that the new PCM p/n and ROM IDs are the same as those listed in the table.

11. Using a ball-point pen, enter the appropriate PCM part number, vendor number, ROM ID #, this TSB number (TSB-05-13-003), your dealer code, and the current date on the Engine Compartment/Control Module Label (part no. MSSF-024G-00).

12. Carefully remove all dirt and oil from a vacant area near the VECI label on the underside of the hood, and affix the Engine Compartment label.

13. Affix the Control Module label to the PCM.
