BR Air Filter kit, LOUD!

I just purchased and installed the buschur air filter kit. This thing is ****in' LOUD! Sounds like I have a blow-dryer on my car, and when the Forge RS goes of that's even louder and it's recirculated. Anyway, I'd like to keep it, but I need it to be significantly quieter does anyone have any suggestions?

I've heard of people putting the top 2 pieces of the stock air box on top of it. It may help a little while getting some colder air to it.

That's a good suggestion^. I personally love the sound. You can really hear the turbo, but I can see how it would be annoying.

I thought the same thing yesterday, when I got to take a ride in a 9 with the Injen hard pipe kit and intake. Sounds cool, but got annoying very quickly.

For myself, I ended up with a Works drop in. The noise is cool, but annoying for daily driving imo.

I'm not interested in the noise. Has any one tried to create a cold air box or something of that nature to keep noise down and get more cold air in?

so i take it none of you have exhausts on your cars, because if the intake is too loud for you, then you could never live with an exhaust!

Honestly, I have a Turbo Back Exhaust, and the intake is louder.

I have an Injen Exaust on my car so it's not loud at all and when i put the ARC air box on it, it did the same thing was loud as hell and i to have the RS in Recirc also. it's something we are going to have to live with i guess. that is the price we pay for flow.

personally i love the sound...but to each his own.....

with any open air filter like the buschur or any other open air intake...the noise is going to be significantly louder.....

the only suggestion i have for you would be to put your stock air box back on and get a K&N drop in filter.....that will be the only thing that can significantly reduce the sound.....
