However - when I examined it it also necked down at the cat - very sadly - I was shocked to see that such a lovely exhuast would get that treatment but I suspect there may be some JDM emissions regulations which require that in Japan as almost every JDM exhuast has the neck down feature
AL, WILL YOU PLEASE STOP? The greddy Titanium uses 80mm tubing, that is 3.2 inch piping. It necks down to 76mm, 3" at the catback. Please do some investgation before you speak.

My point is that it NECKS DOWN

I had originally looked at it b/c it was larger than 3" but when I saw it necking down at the cat I changed my mind

WHY neck down at all ?

Anyway - I think this subject is getting a bit old for me - time to do some beer test can tests - I like them b/c first I empty the beer cans

You are correct on your numbers. I dont think in this case he meant any harm though.

It is 80mm outside diameter metric titanium tubing with ~1.2 mm wall thickness. So it actually bigger in inside diamter than standard 3" Outside diamter tubing that is commonly used in the USA. Reason for this is that the stainless steel 3" tubing uses a thicker walled tubing. That is the reason that the Greddy Titaniums inside diameter is NEVER at any point smaller in inside diameter than the 3" U.S made piping.

However I dont think he meant to be misleading in his statement though. I just think he didnt really investigate the inside size of the small taper fully...

Dude, you're killing me, we have two catback both have a 3" inlet.
Buschur 3" all they way through weighing in at 16 lbs as per Dave's post.
Greddy Ti 3" for 1 inch opening up to 3.2" for the remainder of the exhaust weighing
in at 11 lbs.

Personal ties aside, you just said that you would pick the Buschur based on the fact that it NECKS DOWN from a larger pipe to the same size of the exhaust in comparison.
That is just plain ignorant.

The only reason that is has that small taper is so that it can bolt up to the stock catalytic converter. It is somewhat illegal to sell a catback system that is not capable of bolting up to the stock catalytic converters. Nobody here would run without a cat now, would we???

I know what he is talking about. My point is the inlet is still 3inches even though it "necks down" from the larger 3.2 inch pipe.

The HKS "high power'

Less than 2.5" inside the muffler - the tip of the beer can just made it in the tip and it would not slide into the muffler all the way - plus it necks down een more at the cat and it has a resonator

I am not into Cheap China knock offs due to my feeling the that Chinese governement is using unfair trade practices to advance its cheaper goods and they are also harming the environment with lack of proper regulations in production

Its a personal preference and I am not a hypocrite becuase I do not want to wal mart ize my whip with chinese el cheapo parts
I haven't read the whole post and I don't care too much about the subject, but your comment on unfair trade practices is uncalled for. So the high and mighty United States is the fairest trader? Just because China can make a product with less cost does not mean they are a POS. Maybe U.S products will not be so expensive if there aren't unions to be dealt with. You do realize that U.S companies have their goods manufactured in China for business reasons, cutting cost. If a POS product turns out, China is not the one to blame but the U.S company who instructed the goods to be made and didn't check on Quality Control.

It's easy to talk about regulation when the economy of a country is up and running, you do know that living in the U.S is a luxury. If you lived in a country where the Economy is not strong and is still picking up, you sure as hell wouldn't make the comments you made.

And as much as you always flaunt how educated you are, you made some very uneducated comments in regards to China and chinese products. Being educated doesn't mean you earn a high degree, it's also about understanding and respecting the situation which you clearly have not shown. Your credibility of education as far as I am concerned is thrown out the window.

I wonder if we could turn this into some kind of sport at Evo meets. Packing a beer can in the tailpipe and see who could shoot it the farthest!!!!

Yea, I was told it was. It doesn't skip the fact that you obviously passed over Eclipse Downpipe in the original.
