Then why did you buy an Evo? My 03 is 100% Japanese parts and 100% assembled in Japan...if you wanted USA Quality goods, why didnt you stick with a Corvette, Cobra, Camaro?

ive been running megan system for quite some time now and i have no problems with it. but for the BR systems you can argue with those either. like said before each to his/her own. everybody has their taste of things. both products are good i think olde davy( no disrespect intended) needs to compare for the guys who think theirs is better and see what the out come is.

You stated the Megan is not a full 3" because of the taper at the muffler. The Megan's muffler is resonated but still maintains a full 3 inch width. The BR does not have the resonator at the muffler but just a few feet back. So they both are the same thing. Unless Bushur's resonated pipe section is not a full 3inches. Sticking the beer can in the Bushur tip just makes things more confusing for people deciding which exhaust to get.

The subject should be dropped. Al, your posts are like a stone breaking the surface of water. The ripple effects draw in additional posters that will continue to be bothered by the statements you make, when found untrue.

What you have done now is created another false claim that Megan Racing has somehow enlarged their muffler inside diameter. We proved our facts at the expense of a $15 measuring tape . Can you prove that Megan's muffler has ever been any different in diameter than their current ones? I do not recall this as being a true statement. I urge you to provide further info on this or cease your misinfo. Thanks

P.S. If anyone is interested in a Megan DP, I am not sure where Al pulled that photo, but this is a photo from tonight of an actual unit. Hmmm, robitic tig welds.. Those are nice .

Since we are going OT with random rambling of our own accomplishments, I would like to add that this Megan TBE went 11.70@118.14mph on the stock turbo, stock ignition, no standalone, 93oct+meth-no racegas ~tonight. It seems to work ok for us...

so question... does a flex section in a DP do more good than harm, one of you said it can cause turbulence but is easier on the turbo housing since it has a bit more freedom to move as needed or to suppress any vibrations

GKania must have started taking typing lessons, lol. He is going at it good in here.

By the way Scott(TTP), congratulations on that 11.7@118+ mph run tonight. Using your Magan exhaust, [+++++]. 4 runs all 11.7 and 11.8's.

On a side note, the best exhaust is the one GKania and I use, the king, Greedy Racing Full Titanium JDM Edition. Makes alot of noise, but also makes the most power. There is an article on Turbo Mag. this months. It is BIG.

i pulled it off the Megan web site

It seems obvious that they (Megan) have made some improvements as these pictures look much better than what i have seen

But - I think its hard to tell one of these Chinese exhausts from the other - I saw one yesterday - Sumo or something like that name that ws acutaly rather nice looking

Megan has definately stepped up to the plate in recent years, no doubt about it. Best bang for the buck out there in the exhaust and suspension department IMO.

A flex section is a really good idea IMHO if you have a turbo kit with a tubular manifold - this helps take stress off the manifold

With the stock turbo and cast manifold it is very secure and maybe not needed

I have the stock manifold, and since the stock DP doesnt have a flex section i think ill be aite with a solid 3inch dp.
