hey everyone, i have a 03 Evo VIII with 24,000 miles and running few mods with stock clutch. ok heres the problem so latly everytime i drive my car i hit about 4 grand and my car and my car drops to about 3,800 -3,700 grand. then it will quickly pick up almost like turbo lag. twice my car actully like bogged out like i blew something i heard a pop and it was like my enegine turned off but it didnt in like 2 secs it was back like it was. I dont think its lagg i watch my boost gague and everything seems fine. i put new spark plugs in ngk irdiums and changed my fuel pump to a walbro thought it might be fuel cut. i have a cat back manual boost control greddy type s, hks high flow filter. alot of ppl are telling me its my clutch but i can launch it fine and its not like its slipping my rpms dont jump up. any evo pros please help i need my car perfectly running for spring. thanks dan

Is all your intercooling piping tight?

 

If your clutch is slipping, you can still launch it, it will just slip in 3rd and above.

Go drive, get into fifth, then floor it until it builds 10 psi or so of boost; if the RPMs go up without the car speeding up, it's your clutch.

 

ok yeah i dont think its slipping and yeah i my pretty sure all my piping it tight. i didnt look that well
