Best GT35R kit for the money

Title explains everything. I am doing some long range planning with the car and want to know what the general consensus is. I was originally going to go with AMS b/c I live close, but their kit is really expensive. I am going to do the rest of my exhaust soon (only have AMS catback on the car now), and want to pick somethign that will be compatible. If you have dyno #s (on 93 and race) or time slips, please share your experiences. Thanks.

I think the best cost/power would go to the Buschur kit.

Hey man before you do something like this you better make sure your car can haddle the power that the 35r can put out.

you need a build block, cams, either a reflash or ecu upgrade so before you go big and all out i would get because i see you have stage 1 from ams all 3 stages then do turbo.

Ill tell you man im about 9 grand into the game and i just bought the aem no turbo yet or build blook not even the head is done yet. Dont make the mistake that alot of people make big turbo without haveing the supporting mods.

Good luck

/\ well said although you dont need a built block if your motor is not weak compression/blow-by) and you have a good tuner....

But to answer your question, the Buschur is by far the best when you are looking at dollar-per hp value...

He didn't ask if he should do something before getting a kit, he wants to know what the best one for his money is.... If money is an option then what I would do is get a fullrace/ams manifold, gt35r from whoever you choose, then worry about the downpipe yourself, an exhaust shop could make you one up for a couple hundred bucks. On top of that you would need an intake, ic piping fabbed up and oil lines and you would be done.

All of the kits should be roughly identical. It seems most have some sort of a header, 02 housing, downpipe, intake pipe, lower intercooler pipe and hoses/couplers.

The turbos are all the same. The headers will all flow about identical. Pick whatever is cheap and looks good.

You get what you pay for. AMS' kit is the most proven big power kit on the market.

Are you serious? Just when I thought I may have been kind of a jerk to you in the past, you go and post this garbage and remind me I was right about you all along. If you were just joking, my apologies....

OK let me rephrase it. Pick any turbo kit that is using a true GT35R and comes with an intake pipe, lower IC pipe, downpipe (Or can fit to any after market one), 02 housing, decent header, all the lines, fittings and couplers.

If you do that you will be fine. A header is header... MAYBE a 5 horse difference or so. the 02 housing will be a tubular 02 housing regardless and they will all be the same. The downpipes will all be 3". The turbos are 100% identical. The fittings, couplers and lines are all identical.
