Zacklee Clear Cam Gear Cover???

Hey I have cams, cam gears, and kevlar belts including the timing and balancer shaft belt. Right now i have no cover over the cam gears and the belt is loud. How much quieter should it be with the cover and can i use it with the after market cam gears?
Thanks alot for the help

check the tention on the belts if there too tight, they wine like a belt on a blower and it noticeablly louder than stock.

I have Zaklee cover and i dont think it makes it quiter, just safer so no debris can get in the gears and screw everything up.

we had the same problem with the timeing belt of my friends Integra GSR it was a TODA belt but it was too tight, i know they might make a lil noise but use your judgement.

Dont think it will, its just a little plastic cover. It might make it quiter but I doubt you will notice it, unless you stand next to the engine.

The Zacklee cover is really nice. It fits perfect and does not need to be grinded on the inside like the stock cover does. Here is one on my car:

Thanks for your input guys!! Hey smogrunner, do you have a noise coming from the belts or is that the stock belt? How much looser can I make my belt without jeopardizing things, or can I spray it with something?

I'm using the stock belts and my noise level is completely stock. You'd better be careful running a belt that is too tight. Get the special timing belt tensioner tool and get it within' stock specs.

My manifold had a black high temp coating from AMS that was/is defective. AMS has offered to recoat it for free. I'm actually having it recoated next week here in SoCal.

Good luck.

I'd say my Zaklee covers probably won't make anything quieter, and I also believe that the cam drive system on an Evo doesn't make that much noise in the first place.

PS - Thanks, Smoggy!
