Has anyone just put a std. IX turbo on an VIII and dyno'd to see how much more power it will actually make on a stock VIII? compared to how the IX's are responding to modifications?.... Im interested in modding but very lightly (TBE,Intake,272's,flash).....300's is about where I want to be someday. I have only seen stuff on 20g IX's and thats a bit more than what I want I think. But if the std IX turbo is better than the VIII and there is a decent gain to be made on top of the bolt-ons then it could be worth it for me to pursue in the near future....

So my question has anyone put the IX turbo on a stock or lightly modded VIII? and if so is it really worth the 800 + dollars it will cost?

 

I might do that soon, swap the TME for the IX turbo, and will let you know!

 

Al put a IX turbo on a VIII, but I think that it had a little more the mild mods, TBE, CAMS, Intake, etc. Look inthe Dynoflash forum.

It isn't the USDM EVO9 turbo but I think they are the same ... more power, quicker spool, the best of both worlds ...
