Yes i got one fmic with lower ic/pipe and when i dynoed the car then got it tuned i picked up over 8hp and 10tq. But its only worth it if you have other mods along with it over all after the tune i picked up over 40tq and the hp is the same because piston # is going bad so we stoped the tuneing there. but the car should still have alot of power to still be seen.

For what it's worth, I was told yes on the need to re-tune for the FMIC by the same tuner saying it could really change the AFRs...

As long as you adjust the boost to the same spot as you were tuned there should be no difference. An IC is purely a consistency mod. Im in a similar situation, the only possible change may be in the spool up range.

The new I/C may have more or less pressure drop then your current i/c (likely less, stock is around 2 psi). Also, the freer flowing lower pipes may cause the boost to change slightly. Just correct the boost level to what ever you were tuned for if it changes with the swap.

After the installation just adjust the boost until it reaches 21psi on teh gauge as it does now. (should only be a minor adjsutment up or down, likely down)

EDIT** Do you come to the loew's meets on wednesday nights? I think i remember seeing your plate.

Aftermarket lower IC arm is a MUST if you want better spool =). No tune is necessary, unless you have more mods
