Okay, so the damn search engine won't work for me right now, so can someone please run down the differences between the 6 and the 5 speed in the '05 evo 8 and the '06 evo ix. Placement of the 6th gear and ratios are what I'm looking for, so I can decide between the gsr and mr. I'm mainly worried that if I go with the 9 gsr, will the road noise be more than the 8?

6-speed transmissions are the same between '05 and '06. The 5-speed is the only one undergoing a change (again).
