Metal scraping sound...t-case?

I want to verify these are the symptoms of a t-case on its way out.

Sounds like metal scraping against metal. I only hear it at higher speeds, 3rd gear or above. Its loudest when I let off the throttle in 5th gear above 50 mph and coast. And it goes away when I push in the clutch pedal.

Thoughts?

I'm not the least bit surprised. Oh well. I knew it was inevitable so I was planning on upgrading anyway but I didnt want to do it so soon. I've tried to baby the car since I got it back with the 2.3 & 35R about a month ago. No launches at all and only a few highway pulls, but I guess it was a few too many. lol

how many miles are on the t-case? And what type of oil are you using in it? Just looking for a common thread between some of the previous failures and this one.
