We can only speculate until a controlled test is done.
Can you post a link to the post that you are talking about?

Maybe the cams raised the knock threshold sufficiently to run 2 more PSI without knock, in which case you could fairly attribute the related gain to the cams?

How does she idle with the revolvers and Aem Ems? Hows the spool up for daily driving? Good for daily driving?

I dont think so at all. Search for the thread yourself, I have a terrible hatred of searching for threads on these damn forums, seriously! It was when Buschur switched his 280s for the Revolvers, he made around 17-25whp (somehwere inbetwen there)and like a crazy 50 ft/lb of torque. The dyno with the 280s was 26psi while with the Revolvers he mentioned further down he was cranked the boost to 28psi.

I think everyone got a little Revolver cam crazy after seeing that but I highly doubt the gains would be near that large without the 2psi extra, however like I said before, I think there will be gains, just not that dramatic. Id like to see someone do a controlled A/B test (like TedB might do)... and if he uses cam gears that'd be cool too.

Yeah I would be interested in a similar test to see what the gains are at the same boost level and mods and everything else

Idle is a little lopey but not to the point of the car dying. Sounds nice and chunky. These cams in my own personal opinion are great all around cams from bottom to the top of the rpm range. I am enjoying my set up I have yet to finish fully tuning the car but on my base tune I made 359.1 awhp and 326.3 awtq on 91 octane and @ only 22.03 of boost on a Dyna Pack dyno. Also this is with my old style exhaust manifold. The new exhaust manifold spools the turbo up about 300 rpms quicker and hopefully I will have the charts to that up within the next few weeks.

Revolvers are the best cams on the market for the 4G63. Better torque band then HKS, JUN or
GSC, and more top end power as well. They do need tuning and are not a slap them in and forget it deal. But that is what you would expect out of these high lift cams. They sound awesome at idle as well!
