Pretty much, you're screwed. You can try to appeal to Mitsu, and best of luck to you, but chances are it's gonna cost you.

1) You can maybe try to tighten the clutch rod, which will push the clutch closer together. Use the write-up at Evomoto.com , but if your clutch is toast, it's toast. You can't stop it.

2) Mitsu will only warranty the clutch if it has a factory defect. If it's just worn from your driving or your trip to the drag strip, they will not warranty it. The problem is they won't know until they take it apart and look at the clutch disk, pressure plate, and flywheel. The regional rep would have to look at it and make a determination. If he says "no," then you owe the amount for them to do the install and would have to quickly get a replacement clutch while the car is apart.

I was thinking that if i adjust the clutch it might at least get me through my tune. What do you think?

It is toast. You say you were easy on it? I don't think so if it is gone in 5K. The stock clutch is actually pretty good IMO. You probably drive the car real smooth by slipping clutch a bit too much. It is easy to do especially on an AWD Turbo car. If you are easy on the car, you are hard on the clutch... or driving like it is a Civic.
Also many people try to avoid turbo lag by slipping the clutch to keep the rpms up. Of course the turbo spools up with load, so by slipping the clutch you are not letting it load and you end up slipping it even more. The right thing to do is let it lag or bog or whatever you want to call it for that instant. It sounds like you are in the market for a new clutch. I can recommend one...

actually if you look at his last post, he did a bunch of racing in a 20min period with little cool down time.

You've gotta postpone that tune. I know the clutch hurts like hell to handle financially but you HAVE to make sure your car is 100% before the tune. Cancel it, get the clutch done. Sorry dude, but don't be sorry later and get a half-assed tune.

Just my $.02.
